In anticipation of Dr. Seuss’s birthday (March 2nd) and March reading month, the kindergarteners are working on a special project. Last week, they used printmaking techniques to stamp large paper that had words taped onto them. The words form a Dr. Seuss quote about reading. Stay tuned for pictures! This week, the students learned how to draw the Cat in the Hat. Even my youngest artists are so talented! We used q-tips to paint dots to fill in the red of his hat and bow, and we used blue dots for the background. Fun!
