The 3rd graders are working on portraits of Frida Kahlo. She is a very important Mexican artist–perfect for our Mexico unit in art class! The challenge: taking your drawing beyond the boundaries of the white drawing paper and into the frame. Even ninja turtles love Frida!

I had a little helper in the art room today! My youngest daughter helped me assemble tambourines for the 3rd graders. The Tuscan landscapes the students painted were beautiful! This project is a collaboration between all the special area teachers focusing on the county and culture of Italy.
