Christmas Cookies

My girls and I got creative and silly with some colorful Christmas cookies! #cookieart

Winter Break

I was able to hang some colorful artwork in the halls before leaving on winter break. There are Frida Kahlo portraits by my talented 3rd grade artists and colorful folk art birds by the 1st graders! Awesome!

The 5th graders made these cool ornaments which we also called “decorative thingies”. Ha! So much fun!!

  1. Trace circle template onto cardboard and cut out.
  2. Draw simple design in pencil.
  3. Trace in glue and use yarn to form the design.
  4. Let dry.
  5. Cut out slightly larger circle of aluminum foil.
  6. Put glue stick on full side of foil.
  7. Carefully wrap around cardboard and smooth.
  8. Color design with colored sharpies.
  9. Use hole puncher to make a hole for the wire.
  10. Add wire and beads.
