AMPEd 2017

The 5th graders got a bonus AMPEd session today! I taught a guided drawing of a bunny, but with a twist! Students had to draw on a paper plate on their heads! The students thought their results were hilarious! Then, Mrs. Rhodes led a cool activity where students used tennis balls (bouncing and with different movements) to represent different musical notes. The students put the notes/tennis balls to a song. It was awesome! Mrs. Baer led a rousing game of Four Corners which I thoroughly enjoyed watching from the sidelines…at a safe distance. Lol! Another great day with my team!!

Here are a couple of great bedtime stories that my girls enjoyed tonight…..

The Monster Returns (sequel to Jeremy Draws a Monster)

The Artist and Me (about Vincent Van Gogh)

AMPEd 2017

Hill View’s Art, Music, and Physical Education team joined forces once again to get students AMPEd for learning! This time, Mrs. Baer led students in some mindful meditation and yoga. Mrs. Rhodes read from the book I selected from the library entitled I Am Yoga. We rounded out each session with some mindful drawing to the music. Students let their markers flow as the music filled the room.

It was the best day of school ever! Hopefully this helped ease any tension or stress students may have during testing season. Mrs. Baer gave us many tips and techniques in how to calm ourselves so we can focus and do our best!
